Unfunny Demographics

April 3, 2012

CBS recently refused to run a commercial for the Three Stooges movie that parodied perscription drug commercials. You know, those commercials that warn us of side effects such as suicidial thoughts, impulsive behavior, anal leakage, and death. Consult your doctor before reading further.

It should be noted that these commercials have been parodied before. It should also be noted that these commercials are a joke unto themselves.

According to Deadline.com, CBS’s reason for rejecting the ad was “due to the making light of prescription drug ads.”

Since there’s nothing wrong with making light of prescription drug ads, we must assume the real reason for the rejection is that it doesn’t work for CBS’s agenda, that is, making unfunny sitcoms for people who don’t live on the coasts.

In other words, the Three Stooges commercial was rejected because fans of Two and a Half Men won’t get the joke.
